HERCULES EUROPEAN SCHOOL<\/strong> is a five weeks course<\/strong> coordinated by the Universit\u00e9 Grenoble Alpes (UGA<\/a><\/u>). The school provides training for students, postdoctoral and senior scientists from European and non-European universities and laboratories, in the field of Neutrons, X-ray Synchrotron Radiation, and Free Electron Laser <\/strong>for condensed matter studies (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Geosciences, Industrial applications). Neutron and X-ray science is integrated with complementary techniques<\/strong> like (but not only) optical and electron microscopy, NMR, optical spectroscopy.<\/p>\n

The school includes lectures<\/strong>, practicals<\/strong>, tutorials, <\/strong>and <\/strong>visits of large-scale facilities<\/strong>.
\nA poster session<\/strong> is organised, where each participant puts up a poster presenting her\/his thesis or research topic for a half-day.<\/p>\n

The partner Large Scale Facilities for HERCULES 2026 will be: ALBA <\/strong>(Spain), KIT <\/strong>(Germany), MAX IV \/ ESS \/ LINXS <\/strong>(Sweden), and SOLEIL <\/strong>(France).<\/strong><\/p>\n

The language of the course is English<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
