Compared to laboratory instruments\, X-rays generated in a synchrotron have the advantages of higher energy and higher photon flux\, allowing for fast measurement of thick or complex systems\, in situ and operando. From the improvement of battery materials to the understanding of recycling processes\, synchrotron XRD opens the door to advancements in the field of Circular Economy at both a fundamental and an applied level.
